The clutch release bearing is installed between the clutch and the transmission, and the release bearing seat is loosely sleeved on the tubular extension of the first shaft bearing cover of the transmission. The shoulder of the release bearing is always pressed against the release fork by the return spring, and returns to the final position , and keep a gap of about 3~4mm with the end of the separation lever (separation finger).

At present, the structure of automobile clutch release bearings produced in various countries in the world can be divided into three categories: single row radial ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings and thrust ball bearings. Each category can be divided into two types: open and closed. However, from the perspective of the application trend, the closed structure is the vast majority.

According to the operating direction of the clutch, the push-type clutch release bearing unit and the pull-type release bearing unit can be divided; the pull-type release bearing is generally used on the truck that requires the clutch to transmit more torque.

According to the self-aligning method, it can be divided into non-self-aligning clutch release bearing unit and self-aligning clutch release bearing unit.

According to the bearing rotation mode, it can be divided into the outer ring rotary clutch release bearing unit and the inner ring rotation clutch release bearing unit.
